STMicroelectronics STM32CubeIDE is a free, cross-platform integrated development environment created by STMicroelectronics for building applications on STM32 microcontrollers. Based on Eclipse CDT and the GCC toolchain, it combines code editing, project management, compilation, and advanced debugging in a single workspace.
STM32CubeIDE integrates STM32CubeMX, enabling graphical configuration of pins, clocks, and peripherals, and it automatically generates initialization code and middleware setup to jump-start development. The IDE supports ST-LINK debug probes, on-chip debugging, peripheral register and memory views, live variable watching, and RTOS-aware debugging for FreeRTOS. It also offers support for Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) trace on compatible devices.
Developers can import official examples, manage multiple build configurations, and extend functionality through Eclipse plug-ins. With built-in code templates, code formatting, and package management for device libraries, STM32CubeIDE streamlines the path from hardware configuration to firmware deployment. It runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS and is suitable for both newcomers and experienced embedded engineers working with the STM32 ecosystem.
STMicroelectronics STM32CubeIDE is developed by STMicroelectronics. The most popular version of this product among our users is 1.1. The name of the program executable file is stm32cubeide.exe.
